Who is responsible
Veltacta is the controller for personal data processed through this website. Questions about this policy or about your data go to hello@veltacta.com.
What we process
- What you put in the project brief form: name, work email, company, the brief itself, budget range, preferred start, whether you want an NDA first, and any document you attach.
- Hosting logs: IP address, user agent, requested page and time, kept by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running.
Why, and on what basis
We use form data to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and, for keeping the record of the conversation, our legitimate interest in running the business (Art. 6(1)(f)). Hosting logs are processed under the same legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and briefs are kept for 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted. If the enquiry becomes a contract, the data moves into the contract file and follows its retention. Hosting logs are kept by the provider for a shorter, rolling period.
Who sees it
The principal engineer who replies, and the team members who help prepare the proposal. Processors that handle data on our behalf: the hosting provider, the form delivery service (or your own email client while no form service is configured) and the calendar booking tool, each under a data processing agreement, with EU hosting where the service offers it. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
We use one analytics cookie and the calendar widget's cookies. Nothing else.
Your rights
You can ask for access to the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. Write to hello@veltacta.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the supervisory authority in your country.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are noted here for at least three months.
